The inspiring Vietnam

“If in our daily life we can smile, if we can be peaceful and happy,
not only we, but everyone will profit from it.

This is the most basic kind of peace work.”

When my parents said they were leaving Morocco for another place, in Asia, I said all the countries trying to figure out which one was the new destination.
I remember saying Japan (which I would have loved!), China, Corea, Mongolia, Cambodia, and for last, when I was out of countries, looking to the map I said: “I really hope it’s not Vietnam! It’s the only country I did not say yet!”
There was a silence, you know, the acquiescent silence. I had figured out. I was not thrilled, not at all. And then, when I finally got to go there, I could not wait to be there. It was one of the best trips ever! I have such an amazing memory of this country now, of the people, the food, amazing by the way… I really I’m looking forward to going back and visit “Saigon”, Ho Chi Minh city…
