“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you
because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places.
Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.”
They say it usually snows in Rome once every 20 years: but reality is that it snowed in 2012, yes, it was not that much, but it snowed again between last Sunday and yesterday and it was SO AMAZING!
I remember seeing this much snow during my childhood in Budapest, my loved hometown I really miss sometimes. And now, Rome just remembered me how cool it was to go out , throw some snowballs and walk around in the white snow and have it crack under your shoes. Figure out: Rome, the capital of Italy, usually warm (and super humid too!) covered by a soft white blanket! Actually we saw the snow during the night between Sunday and Monday, when saying goodbye to some friends going away from a dinner we had, we all were like : “What the hell! It really happened! It’s snowing!” We were amazed like children! (follow us on Insta stories too: @missmandarin and @lovebirds.photo, we posted a few things!)
Weather news have been saying for days that it would have probably snowed, but nobody really believed it – we neither. And yet there were hundreds, thousands of people playing in the Circo Massimo, sliding down and having fun. People taking photos at the Colosseum and the snow on the Colle Oppio or on the Fori Imperiali. Such a wonderful day brightened up by a clear blue sky! Perfection, can we agree on that?
