Every year we plan a short, 2-nights 3 days trip somewhere in Italy. We love to discover the world and land that surrounds us and that is so full of beauty, mostly unknown, that we know we will not have enough time on this planet even in two lives to see them all. So while last year we went to Val d’Orcia – sooo highly recommended! – this year we changed side of the Italian boot and went to the Adriatico seaside, in the Marche region.
Does it ever happen to you to see maybe some photos on instagram or on Facebook and to be wowed by the landscape? Well, this is exactly how I found Fossombrone and the valleys around for this year’s trip! I remember being blown away by a photo of the Marmitte dei Giganti which I also will share very soon. The whole land is filled with mountains close to the sea, that hide rivers and valleys created in thousands of years. The Gole del Furlo – which is the river – was just one of these marvelous places.. too bad we could not fly the drone since it is home of a lot of bird species. For a two days trip, the Pesaro Urbino region is a true gem, less known than the Tuscan landscape but equally beautiful – and with delicious seafood! Dm me so I can recommend a few places to eat 🙂
