Pink triumph everywhere in Trastevere

Just a romantic story

During our last walk in Trastevere, which I have written about already, as mentioned at the end of my post, the last turn we took in the streets while heading back to the car, were behind Piazza Trilussa. One of the most known places of Rome and also one of our favorite ones, since it has a lot of cool bars to have a drink or an aperitif around 7pm with some friends, without the need to go for a proper dinner. Turning right, we discovered, for our huge surprise, that in the small street we have never really been before, there were a lot of clothes hanging out to dry.

And it was a triumph of PINK everywhere in so many different shades! From the lilac/pink car to the hot pink bougainvillea, the color of the walls more like a coral pink, and even some clothes hanging; it was all pink! I have quite unconventional taste for a lot of things, but I have really been into pink for the last years. I love flamingos, that should have been the initial crush. It was obvious I could not go away without taking some photos: it was like being catapulted back into the early 70s in some small colorful village.

I loved this pink blaze. I realized how finding this spot was a fortuitous and a gift at the same time. You need to look around, not only watch what is being displayed in front of your eyes. Most of the time, great things are hidden, but not that much that you can not find them. You need to get used to searching for the photographs; they won’t (always) fall from the sky…
